Technical Support for Flow Consultant 8 was discontinued 12/31/2019.

Flow Consultant 9 is now available.  Order Version 9

   

We DO NOT recommended trying to move the license to a new computer. 

Should the removal process fail, licenses cannot be reset outside of warranty period.

  • Two Phase Vapor through enter fluid properties had a conversion error on the viscosity input.  Input was reverting to original input.  Corrected.
  • European computers using a comma as a decimal place holder.  This causes bizarre results in multiple screens if the database is read with commas as decimal place holders.  All Flow Consultant users must have their computer set up to use a period as a decimal point.  All other mathematical applications designed for English speakers require this.

  • The pipe schedule was not selected..... error when reloading a calculation.  This is caused by the manual input of a pipe size.  It has been hotfixed to default to sch 40.  A better solution will be in a later revision
  • No solution (example), discharge coefficient with restrictive orifice plates.  Reverted to version 7 code pending more testing
  • After loading a previously saved file the Filename box does not update at the top of the screen, it will only update when saving a file or for the first file opened in any given database, in below for example Filename will remain as default no matter what file is loaded
  • Added fluid ref input box to the print screen so users can see the fluid standard.  If it’s an ENTER fluid,  change the reference here
  • Added a design notes box to the engineering results screen.  This will print but it does not save.  Under review as an enhancement
  • ISA nozzle 1932 was printing 1934 on datasheet 
  • Pressure loss not computed on the final results of the sizing screen but printing on datasheet.
  • Wandering random number in the PO box of the print screen
  • Box that displays cautionary messages and prompts to print them disappears when user does a preview then clicks back
  • Addition of box to enter and print Manufacturer’s recommended plate thickness (leave blank to not print that line)
